I went to WDW last year and did not have a clue on where to go when visting Disney for the parks, where to eat, etc. I, along with my wife and daughter went down in the middle of the month in October 2008, not realizing it was Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween, we got down there late in the evening where we were told when we got there that in order to stay in the park for the evening we would have pay for the Extended Magic Hours!!! We saw one show and had dinner, bought some Disney stuff and that was it. No rides, no autographs, no dole whips, nothing! I purchased last years book and was impressed of all the guidance this book offers, not just from the authors of this book, but also by people who is expierenced travlers, not to mention, there was guidance from people who went through the same troubles as me! I am going to purchase this year’s edition for our trip this October ‘09 and this year will be a true Disney expiernce!! I totally recommend this book to anyone that is going to visit Disney for the first time or for anytime for that matter. You will not be disappointed!

This book, though “unofficial,” tells you everything you could possibly need to know about going to Disney World. It’s not biased like an “official” Disney book would be so it tells you about non-Disney hotels that are good to stay in (as well as the Disney properties) and it tells you which on-property restaurants are good and which ones aren’t, as told by their reviewers and also by readers who’ve been there, among many other things. I especially like the readers’ comments and the age-appropriate guide to each attraction. This book is invaluable!
